Affiliate Marketing: Promoting High Ticket Affiliate Products (And Make Money)

Are you promoting high ticket affiliate products? The life of an affiliate marketer isn’t easy. You are always worried about competition and often time, prays hard to make a living on the Internet.

Do you know why most affiliate marketers are NOT making enough money from affiliate marketing?

They are not promoting high ticket affiliate products.

Ask anyone of them and they will give you a sh*tload of reasons – from promoting high ticket affiliate products means higher competition to lack of time to do sufficient research (before they can successfully promote a high ticket affiliate product).

I want you to find some gems in this post and I’m going to share with you several ways (and products) you can start promoting to score yourself well-deserved high ticket sales.

What are high ticket affiliate products?

In short, these products are able to generate hundreds of dollars by just successfully selling a single product.

Most high ticket affiliate products have these:

    • High customer retention
    • Better customer conversion
    • Costs higher than most products
    • checkQuality products with constant improvement

    Make sense, right?

High ticket affiliate products are often priced higher than most products in the market because they have better products (quality, performance, etc.).

Due to the higher than usual pricing structure, these companies are often required to provide higher affiliate payout to drive traffic and sales.

And this is where you start leveraging them (and promoting high ticket affiliate products)!

How to promote high ticket affiliate products successfully?

My favorite move is to flood the market with tons of value. In this case, creating informative blog posts on a dedicated blog. Yes, not just your average blog but a niche blog.

Click here to learn how to start a blog under $30.

A niche blog is a blog where the content of the blog is discussing a specific topic. Let’s take an example of a web hosting blog. The blog will cover a wide range of topic related to web hosting and for search engines, you are providing content within a specific niche (which helps you get discovered pretty fast).

When creating a niche blog to promote high ticket affiliate products, the goal is to flood the marketplace with valuable information. These well-written content is going to drive traffic to your site and increases the trust level of your visitors. Ultimately, visitors who trust you will most likely buy from you … regardless what you are promoting.

When it comes to promoting high ticket affiliate products, you should be promoting a product related to web hosting (duh!) and in this case, WP Engine is known for its high commission payout.

Earn up to $7500 for one sale!

Yes, that’s right. You are bound to earn at least $200 per sale when you promote any WP Engine web hosting products. There are affiliates who actually earn thousands of dollars when promoting WP Engine’s enterprise web hosting services.

So, the sky is your only limit.

Are you ready to close some high ticket affiliate sales this week?

    I bet you are, right?

Now tell me your experience promoting high ticket affiliate products in the comment below!

*P.S. If you are not promoting high ticket affiliate products, you should do that right now!

  • How Do Affiliate Marketing Programs Work?

How Do Affiliate Marketing Programs Work?

Have you ever wondered how do affiliate marketing programs work? I bet you do.

If you want to read more about affiliate marketing programs, here’s a good article to start with: What is an affiliate marketing program?

What you need to know (as a start) is that affiliate marketing is a great way to start making money. And I seriously mean a massive amount of money!

To give you an idea on how much you can probably earn, here’s a screenshot of my earnings with a company I am currently working with:

Now, that’s a good amount of passive income, isn’t it?

If you are wondering how you can make money through affiliate marketing, here are some quick tips:

    • Find a niche
    • Leverage social media accounts
    • Start a blog (even if you hate it)
    • Write posts and upload videos
    • Constantly perform marketing on social media

Yes, that’s really simple. You can also sign up for my free affiliate marketing course where I go deep into affiliate marketing and the steps you can take (right now) to make money from it. [thrive_2step id=’6496′]Sign up here (it’s 100% free)![/thrive_2step]

How does affiliate marketing programs work?

Let’s put it in a very simple explanation. Brands engage in affiliate marketing simply because they can:

    • Reduce manpower
    • Increase sales
    • Have a wider range of ‘influencers’

Now let’s take an example of buying a GoPro (these are purely assumptions but they are important for you to understand the concept).

    • Selling price of one GoPro: USD $100
    • Commission for affiliate marketers (like you) upon successful sale: USD 15
    • Nett profit for the brand: USD 85 (100 minus 15)
    • Nett profit for the affiliate marketer: USD 15

Now, take a moment to think about this. From the standpoint of the brand, a fee of USD 15 is relatively small to pay a seller simply because there is no fixed cost. The brand does not need to pay the influencer monthly just like a full-time salesperson. Instead, they are only required to pay once a sale is completed.

How about the affiliate marketer point of view? It is also a win-win situation because he or she would probably just need to spend a few minutes a day (or in a week) and have a good chance of closing a sale.

You might think that USD 15 is a relatively small profit for the marketer but do your math with the assumption that the marketer is able to sell 100 pieces of GoPro in a month. Not only that the affiliate marketer is able to make USD 1,500 easily, the company may even increase his commission rate!

  • Why Do Affiliate Marketers Need To Target Topics And Not Keywords?

Why Do Affiliate Marketers Need To Target Topics And Not Keywords?

I’m going to tell you right in the face, right now. You are probably doing your affiliate marketing wrong.

Are you promoting too many products under one roof? I bet! As a matter of fact, I’m also guilty of this in the past.

When I started my 7-days affiliate marketing course last week ([thrive_2step id=’6496′]you can participate now for free by clicking on this link[/thrive_2step]), one of the biggest and most common questions I get from the members is not making enough money or sales through affiliate marketing. Diving deeper into the question, I noticed that there is a serious trend in this.

99% of them are using 5 blogs or less to promote more than 100 products.

Now, here’s the problem. They are just becoming another Jack-of-all-trades in the market space. They are not making enough (or any) affiliate sales because they are lacking the much needed:

    • Authority
    • Speciality
    • Trust

So, how do you solve this problem?

Lucky for you, you can actually solve this in just under one day.

    Stop targeting keywords

Yes, the first step is to stop targeting specific keywords. Targeting specific keywords is NOT going to help you because you will be targeting way too many keywords that are not related to one another.

Let me give you an example. You are probably targeting more than one categories such as:

    • Health and supplements
    • Electronic items
    • Household items
    • Books
    • Fashion (clothing, shoes, etc.)

The problem starts because you are giving mixed signals to the search engines and let me tell you that this is a bad thing. No one wants to/should confuse the search engines because it is going to affect your organic ranking!

You probably hear the pros talking about targeting the right keywords and I am not disputing the fact. No, I’m not.

What I’m trying to say is that you should target the right keywords and promote affiliate items within the same categories only!

Want to know why? Continue reading below.

Becoming an authority within the industry/niche

When you talk and promote things within an industry, you are building creditability in you. I’m not going to buy

I’m not going to buy a product that Simon is selling because he is selling over 100 different products from different industries. HOWEVER, I’m going to buy it from Josh because I had seen Josh talking about the same topic for a few weeks and he seems to know his stuff.

Sounds familiar? I bet it does!

You want to stand out from the crowd and the only way is to be an authority within your niche.

How to become an authority within the industry or niche?

Now, I have no plans to pull you down but heck, it is really easy if you think about it.

    • Find the right industry
    • Find the right topics
    • Find the right keywords
    • Find the right writing style
    • Find the right product

Social media tools I recommend using: AgoraPulse, Hootsuite and Sprout Social.

    Summary

Affiliate marketers need to target topics and not keywords because you need to build authority within your niche before you can start putting on your selling hat.

Are you ready to make thousands of dollars a month as an affiliate marketer … or you are just happy to make a couple of bucks a month?

how much can you earn from affiliate sales

Starting a blog is always the easy part. I even shared why I recommend using this web hosting for that matter (you can check out the post by clicking on this link).

The biggest question is what type of plugins you should be using to pump up your ranking?

Here are the top 5 plugins for affiliate marketers 2017.

    1. Yoast SEO

    yoast SEO plugin

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m not joking when I say Yoast SEO. Yoast SEO helps you to rank your blog post on Google and probably a dozen of other search engines. You need Yoast SEO no matter what!

    2. Thirsty Affiliates

This is my number one plugin when it comes to affiliate marketing. Thirsty Affiliates is a freemium WordPress plugin.

What makes it really unique is the add-ons that come on the side. Here’s what you will get when you use Thirsty Affiliates plugin.

    thirsty affiliates plugin

Thirsty Affiliate is a plugin that cloaks affiliate links to nice and clean URL. Here are two examples:

    3. Pretty Link Lite/Pro

    pretty link plugin

Pretty Link Lite/Pro is one of the most popular options for cloaking the affiliate links and it works just like Thirsty Affiliates. Some of the features that are worth mentioning include clean and simple URLs, track the number of hits and unique hits per link, intuitive JAVA/AJAX admin user interface and much more.

While Pretty Link is very similar to its competitor, Thirsty Affiliates, I would say that it boils down to your personal preferences. Both are good and all you need to do is to select either one of them.
