Could Your WordPress eCommerce Website Hurting Your Business?

Off the shelf, WordPress is great for publishing and sharing content.

To make it work for ecommerce, however, the leading CMS platform requires some hands-on attention. Or, at the very least, there are a lot of hoops and hurdles that the ecommerce site owner needs to undertake to optimize their WordPress-powered website.

Sadly, many aspiring ecommerce entrepreneurs aren’t learned enough in the field of web development/design or conversion rate optimization. So much so that when they attempt to transform their WordPress website into an ecommerce store, they end up making mistakes (both those that are and those that aren’t so obvious to the general public) that cause their web visitors to click away.To help you avoid the exact scenario that I described, I’m going to share with you several reasons why your web visitors are most likely turned off by your WordPress ecommerce site.

If you’re seeing a relatively high percentage of your site visitors click away without having bought anything, then you need to check these out.

    1. Your pages load terribly slowly.

Consumers expect ecommerce websites to load fast. How fast, you might want to ask? Three seconds. If your page takes longer than three seconds to load, there’s a good chance your visitors would have already clicked away by then.

The thing with WordPress is it has thousands of installable plugins. There are plugins for dropshipping, content creation, search engine optimization, marketing, etc. In a lot of ways, the library of plugins that WordPress supports gives their users an unfair advantage over their competitors.

On the flip side, however, these plugins can have an adverse impact on conversion rates. This is because installing too many plugins can slow a website down. As an ecommerce entrepreneur, you need to be wary of this. You need to be choosy about the plugins you’ll install.

To help you determine if your website speed is still acceptable after installing all the plugins that you think you need, you can use an online tool like GTMetrix.

After entering your URL, the tool will show you its results after scanning your website. To show you how it works, I entered “bing.com” as an example:

    Website Speed

GTMetrix shows you how fast or slow your website loads, and gives you a score.

Many factors can cause a slow page load speed, such as:

    • Excessive plugins installed;
    • Photos are extra large or not optimized;
    • Numerous file requests (RTTs);
    • JavaScript issues;
    • Too much flash content, etc.

GTMetrix also recommends some actions you can take to improve your page speed. As you improve it, your conversions and sales will eventually improve.

    2. You have a poor ecommerce interface.

Because WordPress doesn’t have any of the most crucial ecommerce functionalities built in, site owners need to put in some extra effort, transforming their websites into full-blown online shops.

They do the tasks that professional web developers and designers do — even if they don’t have the skills or knowhow to do it well. The result? The WordPress site ends up having missing or faulty ecommerce functionalities.

Not only that, but the website design and the experience it gives to the users also becomes less than stellar. If you want to build your ecommerce site with WordPress, you need to have an outstanding ecommerce interface. You can achieve that by installing reliable ecommerce plug-ins, such as BigCommerce.

Installing plug-ins like BigCommerce allows you incorporate ecommerce functionalities like shopping carts, wish lists, shipping, product integration, payment processing, and others, into your WordPress site seamlessly — all without you having to type countless lines of code.

    3. Your product pages aren’t UX-friendly.

Customers hate it when they have a hard time finding your products, or if your item list is incomplete and your product pages aren’t categorized properly. They may also find your product pages dull when they’re not interactive, and have poor content or descriptions.

When ecommerce store owners build their product pages from the ground up, there’s a good chance their visitors will have a poor experience on the page. This is because the store owners are unfamiliar with what makes a user experience interactive and exciting.

When that happens, your customers lose interest and click away. You also lose opportunities for conversions and sales. If you have this kind of problem, you can fix it by hiring a professional website developer or conversion rate optimization expert.

These experts enhance your entire site UX/UI and ensure your product pages are primed for conversions.

    4. Your site security is weak.

Content management systems (CMS) like WordPress are often vulnerable to cybersecurity issues like brute force attacks, SQL injection, and malware. Ecommerce sites like yours are hubs that see financial transactions, customer and business information, and other data assets valuable to you and the hacker.

Thus, it’s imperative that you secure your WordPress ecommerce site and make it obvious to your visitors that your site is secure — otherwise, they will only click away for fear of buying from a website that isn’t secure.

What Is A Secured Website With SSL
How to check if the website is secured?

One way you can do so is by applying for a secure sockets layer (SSL) certification. An SSL-certified website with HTTPs is secure because it indicates that it’s encrypted; that is, a hacker has to access an additional security layer with encryption keys. You’ll know your website is SSL-certified when you see a padlock icon beside your URL and HTTPS instead of HTTP.

WordPress, when you first install it for your website, is not automatically secure. You must apply for SSL certification and protect your site with HTTPS.

    5. Your site is not mobile responsive.

Did you know that 82 percent of Internet users in the United States have shopped from mobile devices? More and more people are now into mobile shopping because it’s convenient. That means they also value UX/UI (user interface) even on their smartphones and tablets.

As such, you must ensure that your website is mobile responsive. If your site is responsive, it is user-friendly and navigable. The components of your website, including banners and menus, will also remain intact and not disordered.

If you want to see how your site looks on mobile while on your desktop, follow these steps:

    • Open your site on your browser.
    • Right-click anywhere on your site.
    • Select

The page will then look like this:

You can even choose to view it on specific devices, like iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Nokia, iPad, and more.

How To Check For Mobile Responsive

WordPress, as a platform, does support responsive page design. Some older themes, however, do not. When you select an ecommerce-centric theme for your WordPress site, be sure to get one that is also responsive. A good idea would be to use the best WooCommerce theme out there. You will rarely find themes that aren’t responsive, nowadays, but just in case, be sure to check.

Responsive design ensures that your web visitors not only have great UX/UI on desktop but, just as importantly, on mobile. Your customers can then enjoy browsing and buying from your ecommerce site wherever they may physically be, increasing your sales and conversions.

    The bottom line

WordPress is ideal for blogging, and using it for ecommerce too is feasible – if you develop and optimize your site accordingly. If any of the reasons for repelling your customers apply to your WordPress-powered ecommerce site, you need to work toward resolving them.

As you enhance your WordPress site, you’ll be well on your way to keeping your customers and watching your sales skyrocket.

Advantage #1: It’s good for SEO

A good WordPress theme helps you with SEO. As a freelance SEO consultant myself, I spend money on well-coded premium WordPress theme for my SEO business.

The SEO industry is a super competitive one—and you are going to generate more SEO project leads if you start looking professionals.

Let’ me ask you a simple question. Take a look at both the images below (and tell me what you think—I’ll tell you mine!).

Terrible Website Design For SEO Agencies
Lacking focus on website design and user experience will lead to high bounce rate

What you are seeing on the left side of the screen is a badly design website theme. If your SEO agency is using something like this, you got to change to the right WP theme … like right now.

Failure to address this issue is going to lead to multiple SEO problems!

Now, this is what I call an awesome WP theme. This theme has multiple call-to-actions that are properly placed with the right colour (your eyes are attracted to them and not on the entire page).

The fonts are easy to read and the hero image on the website resonates closely to what the audience (potential customers) are looking for.

Publish More Content To Drive Blog Traffic

This is not bullshit. It’s real—and it’s really effective if you want to drive traffic to your blog in the next 3 months.

Content freshness as discussed by Search Engine Journal, is a powerful method to inform (indirectly) to Google that your website is active.

In the Caffeine update some time back, content freshness is highly discussed in the topic. Here are some important takeaways you need to know.

    • Constantly publishing new content is vital
    • Updating old content with latest information, images and other relevant media are highly effective
    • Updating content without telling Google is NOT effective
    • There is always a chance that you will not bump in ranking (even after updating)

Everyone has social media account (more than one) and I’m sure you check your social media account feed at least once an hour!

So, how do you generate traffic using social media?

Here are two awesome ways to get started.

    Engaging Content

    • Craft well-thought content to get heads turning
    • Publish on Facebook pages, Groups and personal account
    • Focus in creating meaningful content instead of content for clicks
    • Time your publication to ensure maximum reach

    Paid Advertisement

    • Highly effective and fast results
    • Use landing pages to collect emails and other form of data
    • Install pixels for remarketing (future usage)
    • Target audience based on interest and demographic (be specific)
    • Budget is required for this strategy

Nearly every professional blogger uses social media marketing to reach a wide range of audience.

Here’s a short video of Neil Patel on how to generate traffic to your blog using social media.

    Traffic Generation Using Email Marketing

One of the most asked question is this—is email marketing still effective today?

    The answer is YES.

Email marketing allows you to build an audience on your own ground. Instead of using other platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Medium and others, you are bound on your own rules.

There is absolutely no one who is going to stop you (in terms of marketing) especially when you are building an email list.

In order to deliver emails, you need to use an email service provider who you can trust. These are the guys who will ensure your emails get delivered timely and correctly. After all, emails landed in the spam/junk box are useless (no matter how good the email is crafted).

My solution to all my email marketing needs is AWeber (click here to get free 30 days trial).

    Write Irresistible Headlines

    Generate Traffic Using Irresistible Headlines
Irresistible headlines will encourage clicks through rates (CTR)

What does irresistible headlines means to you?

For me, it means free blog traffic. Using well-crafted headlines will encourage clicks, and this is very effective when you are planning to beat the competitors ranking higher than you.

So, how do you create amazing blog headings to drive more traffic to your blog?

    Follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Use Google Suggested Search

How To Create Amazing Blog Headlines
Google automatic suggested keywords are great source for idea

Let’s take the example of “write irresistible headlines” as the primary search. Before hitting the “Enter” key, Google will list down some relevant keywords that are highly searchable.

IMPORTANT: These are keywords that are searched by others around the world. By using the exact (or similar) keywords, you are going to get better click-through-rates.

Keep in mind that you can decide to ignore the keywords completely, or use them as clickbait (sorry for the choice of word).

    Step 2: Google Related Searches

Google Related Searches are great blog titles that you can use

If you ever run out of ideas, Google Related Searches are awesome topics and title generators for you.

Similar to the previous one, these are searches used by others to search for similar keywords.

    Step 3: Adding Powerful Words

The usage of powerful words is going to drive traffic to your blog. In other words, these purposely/specifically chosen words are used to create interest and other psychological effect to get readers to click on your article.

Not sure how it is done? Here’s a great video by Ahrefs (which I recommend you to watch until the end).

If you spend two hours writing a blog post, you better spend another two hours creating the most effective blog title.

Drive Traffic To Blogs Using SEO

Search Engine Optimization or SEO in short, this is one of the most debated question asked by many bloggers.

If you want to become a professional blogger (and make money through blogging), you need to know SEO—at least the very basic.

    What Is SEO

As you can see above, SEO is divided into several parts. All of these are required (yes, REQUIRED) if you want to start ranking well on search engine result pages (SERP).

Want to drive more traffic to your blog? Pay attention to these.

    Website

The structure of your website shows Google which pages of your site are most important. This means you can influence which articles will rank highest in the search engines with your site’s structure.

    Analysis

An SEO analysis can help you make strategic decisions to improve your site’s ranking in search engine results pages. You can utilize SEO analysis results to help you rank higher, expand your reach, and drive traffic to your website

    Content

Content SEO refers to creating content that helps your web pages to rank high in the search engines. … Content SEO is important because search engines, such as Google, read your website, so the words you use on your site determine whether or not your site will rank in their results pages.

    Backlinks

Backlink is a link one website gets from another website. Backlinks make a huge impact on a website’s prominence in search engine results. This is why they are considered very useful for improving a website’s SEO ranking. Search engines calculate rankings using multiple factors to display search results.

    Keywords

Your SEO keywords are the keywords and phrases in your web content that make it possible for people to find your site via search engines. A website that is well optimized for search engines “speaks the same language” as its potential visitor base with keywords for SEO that help connect searchers to your site.

    Social Media

Social media SEO refers to how social media activities can boost your website’s organic traffic through search engines. It’s a topic that never gets old. The reason being simple: social media is important for SEO in more than one way. It not only makes your SEO activities effective but also lucrative.

    Ranking

Rankings in SEO refers to a website’s position in the search engine results page. There are various ranking factors that influence whether a website appears higher on the SERP based on the content relevance to the search term, or the quality of backlinks pointing to the page.

    Optimization

Search engine optimization is the process of increasing the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a web page to users of a web search engine. SEO refers to the improvement of unpaid results and excludes direct traffic/visitors and the purchase of paid placement.

    Comment On Blogs

    Traffic Generation Through Commenting
Commenting on other’s blogs could generate you blog traffic and quality backlinks

Do you know that commenting on other blogs is a great way to drive traffic to your own blog?

Bloggers particularly are very engaging—and they will often return a comment ‘favor’ once you had left a comment on their blogs.

    IMPORTANT
Commenting is a tedious process and shouldn’t be taken lightly. It is always recommended to leave long and insightful comment to build credibility to yourself.

Drive Traffic To Blog Using Quora

    What Is Quora
Quora can drive quality traffic to your blog

If you are not using Quora to build a strong following, then you are not getting any closer to become a professional blogger.

One of my old buddies, Ryan Biddulph from BloggingFromParadise.com is a constantly publisher on Quora. Take a look at his profile here.

Ryan Biddulph uses Quora to generate blog traffic

If you click on the image, you will notice that he has over 415.3k content views this month itself.

That’s massive and can you imagine how much free traffic he gets from Quora on a monthly basis?

Quora is a great source of traffic only if you do it right.

You can’t just leave a link and hope others will click on it. You need to spend time in creating great content—followed by building strong foundations to build your fame on Quora.

It is not easy and it is extremely tedious job. However, do it for long enough and you will be able to generate free traffic to your blog.

If you’re in the market for targeted traffic and powerful backlinks, guest posting should be at the forefront of your mind. More importantly, guest posting is also an excellent way to generate more traffic back to your blog.

If you have not done any guest posting (or not sure how to start), I’m happy to share that interviewing experts and guest posting are two of the best techniques to gain traffic when you don’t have an audience.

Most bloggers and website owners are keen of having great guest posts that are detailed/comprehensive and highly engaging.

Plus, guest posting is also a great way to make money from blogging too!

Did you know that you can own blog or vlog about the team for the sports you like?

Here’s great tutorial on guest posting (credits to Jeff Bullas)

Drive Traffic To Blog With Contests

Organizing contests on your blog is a good way to generate blog traffic

Organizing a contest to drive traffic back to your blog is not the world’s most fun thing to do—but it is certainly very effective and creative.

There are many forms of contests and you can work with companies within your niche to host the prices. In return for their support, you can share the list of email addresses of the participants (please disclose this early in the contest) and even share mailing lists.

When done right, you will be able to grow your email list and at the same time, get more traffic back to your blog.

Summary: What is the most effective way to drive traffic to blogs?

There is no specific answer to this as it depends heavily on your niche, industry you are in and of course, your target audience.

If I would to choose, I would definitely go for SEO as I’m very comfortable using it for all my blogs (and I have the expertise for that too).

Elementor Review: Is Elementor The Best WordPress Page Builder?

First Hand Experience With Elementor Pro

I’m going to admit to you right now that I’m a drag and drop WordPress freak. I love trying out new WordPress builder tools—so that I can build client’s website faster and more effective. After using Elementor Pro for some good months, it is time for me to share my personal experiencing using it in this Elementor review.

    Important Disclaimer
I’m a huge fan of Thrive Architect and all my websites are build with it. Moving to Elementor Pro is definitely one of the most challenging task ever (more on this later).

This review on Elementor free and Elementor Pro (some call it Elementor Page Builder) is quite long. Before we proceed further, here are some key takeaways I want you to know about Elementor.

    Elementor Review in a nutshell:

    • Elementor (free version) is an excellent drag and drop builder
    • The plugin is very intuitive and effective in building landing pages, customized blog posts and pages
    • The true power of Elementor lies within Elementor Pro (more features, robust support)
    • The free version of Elementor has limitations
    • Elementor Pro is the only drag and drop WordPress builder plugin that doesn’t come with lifetime updates
    • Elementor doesn’t play well with StudioPress child themes

And without further delaying, carry on reading below to discover the best Elementor Pro review.

    What Is Elementor?

Elementor is a drag-and-drop page builder plugin for WordPress, which serves several purposes. You can use it to create any content layout or page layout you can imagine. Elementor is compatible with (nearly) all WordPress themes. At this point of time, Elementor is not working well with StudioPress—so if you are using StudioPress child theme like me, you are in for a big surprise.

There will be some level of glitches that you need to accept, or completely move to another theme like I do. If you want to know more about this, I recommend you to scroll down all the way down for more information.

    The Best Freemium Website Builder

Elementor and Elementor Pro are two great addons for any website owners—regardless you are a freelancer, blogger or website developer, you are almost certainly find Elementor a powerhouse in web development.

    What Does Elementor Do?

For starters, Elementor is a WordPress builder plugin. I tried installing it as a WordPress theme and it wouldn’t work 🙂

Using Elementor, you can design your own website, create any layout or import any pre-made templates in just a few clicks. Elementor is all about saving time and creating beautiful websites without coding skills.

If you used Thrive Architect, Divi or OptimizePress in the past, you would know that drag and drop website builders help you to develop WordPress faster and more importantly, extremely user-friendly (as you don’t require a single line of code).

There are many freelance web developers who are making a huge living without any coding skills. Here’s you can do that too!

So, what else can Elementor do?

    • Drag and drop editor
    • Responsive editing
    • 300+ ready made templates
    • 90+ widgets and elements
    • Landing pages
    • Testimonial carousal
    • Google fonts
    • 100% responsive
    • Massive list for integrations
    • Mobile font size
    • Responsive columns
    • Customized header and footer
    • Dynamic content
    • Display conditions
    • Massive list for integrations
    • Template library
    • Maintenance mode
    • Custom CSS

These are just SOME parts of what Elementor can do.

With Elementor WordPress builder, the sky is your only limit. While I’ve been using Elementor Pro for over two months, I’m still discovering many more new things about Elementor that constantly blow my mind!

    via GIPHY

It is important to understand that the free version of Elementor plugin comes with some sweet but limited features.

Here’s what it looks like on the backend (visual builder) for the free Elementor plugin.

    Elementor Plugin Review
The free Elementor plugin comes with many basic features

    The basic features includes:

    • Heading
    • Text Editor
    • Button
    • Video
    • Video
    • Divider
    • Inner Section
    • Image Box

    • Icon List
    • Star Rating
    • Counter
    • Progress Bar
    • Basic Gallery
    • Shortcode

If you can see, the Elementor free plugin is an effective WordPress builder that is extremely effective for small and new blogs, leisure bloggers and those who don’t require much from a drag and drop website builder.

    Is Elementor Plugin Free?

Elementor is a free WordPress builder plugin and anyone can download it directly from it’s official website or from WordPress repository.

The free version of Elementor is free to use for life and no credit card is required. If you have not tried Elementor, I recommend you to try it as Elementor is the only free WordPress builder that is super intuitive.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

    What Is Elementor Pro?

If the free version of Elementor is that good, what is Elementor Pro?

Let me start off by telling you that I get this. Seriously.

When I first downloaded Elementor, I was happy—like really, really happy. I read from many Elementor reviews from other blogs that Elementor is the best, Elementor solves all the web development challenges, etc.

The free version of Elementor plugin is GREAT if you are just starting a new blog. If you are looking for a high performance WordPress builder plugin, Elementor Pro is the ONLY way to go.

Elementor Pro takes WordPress development to who new level. As a hardcore user of Thrive Architect and Divi, I got to admit that Elementor Pro is freaking awesome to use.

This page is created with Elementor Pro, using customized single post page and footer setting that I recently created.

Elementor Pro Most Powerful Feature …
As a paid Elementor Pro member, you are able to create global designs and save them in your theme library. This feature allows me to create customized headers, customized footers and single blog pages—and import them for every occasion I need. This saves me a lot of time and more importantly, I can easily update the entire website through the global setting (instead of going through each post and page separately).

But Thrive Architect And Divi Have This Too …
Yes, both Thrive Architect and Divi have this feature but it is not that intuitive compared to the one in Elementor Pro.

In short, using Elementor Pro WordPress builder plugin felt MORE like a complete set of builder tool compared to its competitors.

While this part is solely my personal opinion, I hope it carries some weight as I am a huge advocate for Thrive Architect and Divi. I uses Thrive Architect for all my personal blogs while Divi is used for business (freelance website development).

Elementor Pro comes with some sick features such as:

    • Posts
    • Portfolio
    • Gallery
    • Forms
    • Login
    • Slides
    • Animated Headline
    • Navigation Menu
    • Call to Action
    • Flip Box
    • Price Table
    • Price List
    • Global Settings
    • Share Buttons
    • Blockquote
    • Countdown

Overall, Elementor Pro provides a wide range of features, including Pro templates that you can 1-click import to your WordPress site. These templates had proven to be very useful for web developers and seasoned bloggers.

Bonus: Moving from StudioPress to Elementor Pro

I have been using StudioPress all my life. Parting from StudioPress is like getting a divorce. I don’t see that coming and not within the near future.

As my website takes off to new heights, I decided that I need to do something more to grow my online presence. While StudioPress is awesome, I needed more flexibility.

In other words, I am tired of using the same website design with others. I wanted something unique—and resonated closely to my brand. After a long search, I came across Elementor Pro.

The movement from StudioPress to Elementor isn’t the easiest move. For starters, one of the biggest revenue generator for this blog is Google Adsense.

When I completely make the switch from StudioPress to Elementor Pro, this is what happened to my earnings.

Moving from StudioPress to Elementor Pro
Moving from StudioPress to Elementor Pro affected my Google Adsense earnings by over 50%

The earnings for Google Adsense is not that big of a “wow factor” to be honest, but being able to make anywhere between $200 to $400 a month without doing anything is definitely awesome.

Moreover, the earnings from Google Adsense is used to cover my premium WordPress hosting on WPX.

    Okay, back to the story.

I reached out to the guys from WPX Hosting (my web hosting support) and WPMU Dev (cache plugin support) and we came up with a solution. A solid one to be honest.

If you are moving from any WordPress theme to Elementor, I recommend you to follow these steps.

Step 1: Choose A Lightweight WordPress Theme

Both Elementor and Elementor Pro are lightweight—and you want these plugins to work with a super lightweight WordPress theme for super fast loading speed.

StudioPress is out of the topic for compatibility issues and using Thrive Architect/Divi is definitely not the option.

After doing some research, I ended up using WP Astra (here’s a cool case study by Elementor).

Install WP Astra first, followed by installing Elementor or Elementor Pro. If you are using Elementor Pro like I do, you need to have both Elementor and Elementor Pro installed at the same time (for the plugins to work).

    Step 2: Clear Your Cache

When I first changed my theme to WP Astra and Elementor Pro, I did not clear my previous cache. This single mistake of mine costs me 3 hours of additional work.

No matter what cache plugin you use, make sure you clear the cache. Seriously.

Step 3: Use Global Widgets in Elementor Pro

Changing WordPress themes is always troublesome. Even at the fastest pace, it will take me an easy 2-hours to get the job done right.

This site is massive—with over 2GB of data, close to a thousand posts and pages, this is crazy. Can you imagine how much time needed if you are going to customized each post and page?

    Like forever.

With Elementor Pro, you can use Global Widgets to create customized header, footer and layouts for post and pages. Next, set up automation or conditional logic to ensure that these settings are automatically enabled on specific locations.

If you are interested to know more about Global Widgets by Elementor Pro, take a look at video for more information.

Step 4: Customize The Cache Plugin

Last but not least, customizing the cache plugin is an important step to ensure that your website is loading fast.

Most of you may be using W3TC or WP Rocket for cache plugin, but I’m using Hummingbird pro. Setting up Hummingbird Pro for Elementor is really challenging—and I recommend you to try and error to get it done right.

Here’s what it looks like after the configuration.

Optimizing Elementor Pro with Hummingbird Pro Cache Plugin
How to optimize Elementor Pro for faster speed?

    Why Elementor Better Than Divi?

    Elementor vs Divi
Who is the clear winner when Elementor vs Divi?

Divi is used by professional bloggers and web developers around the world. Even I use divi for all my freelance website development on Upwork.

So, who is the clear winner when Elementor vs Divi?

The answer is this: It depends.

Here’s what you should know about Elementor and Divi.

    Elementor

    • A generous free version at WordPress.org
    • More widgets to build your designs (if you have Elementor Pro)
    • Full theme building functionality (with Elementor Pro)
    • A static interface with a set sidebar

    GET ELEMENTOR

    Divi Builder

    • Maybe a little bit deeper styling options, though it’s pretty close
    • More templates with the new Template Library
    • A dynamic interface with lots of floating buttons
    • Back-end editing

    GET DIVI BUILDER

Elementor and Divi are great with their own advantages (and disadvantages). End of the day, it boils down to your personal preference. Personally, I would go with Elementor Pro if I am given a choice to choose as Elementor is lighter-weight compared to Divi.

Elementor Review: Do I Recommend Using Elementor?

Before I end this Elementor Review, I think is important to state my thoughts on this plugin.

Both Elementor and Elementor Pro are fine drag and drop WordPress builder. They are suitable for beginners, website developers and professional bloggers alike.

Elementor provides an upper hand compared to most drag and drop builder tools because it offers free for life usage. While it has limited capabilities, the features are sufficient for most small websites and new bloggers.

Elementor Pro on the other hand is an excellent choice to replace Thrive Architect or Divi, especially when you are looking for a lightweight and fast loading website builder.

You can take a look at some of the best examples of WordPress websites created using Elementor at BeautifulPress.

The massive integration and beautiful ready made templates makes Elementor Pro a must have especially for serious bloggers.

Are you planning to create an online course and sell it? Courses are great avenues where you can share the things you are passionate about and teach others how to do something you’re skilled at — all while making money at the same time.

If you want your online course to sell like hotcakes, however, you need to have a learning management system (LMS) that won’t just help you with “housing your courses,” but that can help you market your elearning business effectively, as well.

Given how noisy the internet has become, you’ll never be able to keep your online course business afloat if you don’t market it effectively — let alone keep other aspects of your business thriving.

That’s where LMS platforms like Kajabi come in handy.

In this review, we’ll look into the robust features that this leading platform offers in the areas of design and marketing — including marketing automation — that you can use to advertise and convert more sales for your online courses.

    Are you ready? Let’s begin.

    Website Design and Business Analytics

Website design is crucial for marketing your online courses. Without an attractive design that exudes trust and inspires action, no one will get immersed in your content, no one will register as leads and no one will purchase tuition subscriptions.

Fortunately, Kajabi has a collection of pre-made themes and layouts to choose from. Kajabi also gives you control over your website appearance from your library to your store, sales and thank-you pages, and more.

You can personalize various aspects of your page such as visibility, branding, and typography, as you can see below:

    Custom Made Kajabi Themes

Kajabi lets you take charge over several elements of your pages like your header, footer, images, measurements, and language, etc.

You can even alter your URLs, descriptions, and titles, so they’re SEO-friendly. In this way, your website attracts prospects visually, reflects your branding, and is optimized for search rankings. These are all essential for marketing toward better conversions and sales.

Aside from the ability to design, you can also assess your website’s performance. Kajabi provides analytics on your sales and net income for the past 30 days, all-time net revenue, affiliate commissions and purchases, opt-ins, and page views.

With these figures, you can come up with better action steps to improve your site.

    Automated Nurture Pipelines

One of the unique and advanced solutions Kajabi offers to help you market your courses effectively is their Pipelines feature.

The feature allows you to create your marketing funnel and visualize your customer journey from marketing to sales. It also allows you to automate your multi-stage marketing journeys with triggers that span multiple channels and actions, such as email clicks, landing page engagement, video views and course registrations.

Marketing automation is crucial since it helps increase your efficiency and effectiveness in promoting your courses. Kajabi’s top competitors – including Thinkific, Podia and Teachable – don’t offer anything nearly this powerful or easy when it comes to marketing features.

Here’s how a sample pipeline looks:

    Kajabi Pipeline

Kajabi has template pipelines that you can tweak or new pipelines for you to build from scratch. These are called Blueprints.

For each phase in your pipeline, you can add automations and modify their content, design, and conditions.

    Triggered Email Campaigns

The Email Campaigns feature allows you to plan, develop, and automate your email marketing series.

You can create email campaigns for your sales, freebies, influencers, coaching and others. As with Pipelines, Kajabi’s email sequence creator comes with templates you can use, or you can opt to make one from scratch.

As an example, I clicked on the Sales Page Opt-in-Value-Offer (OVO) email sequence template. Here’s how it looks like:

    Sales Page OVO Email Sequence

You can add triggers for the email sequence to begin, as well as actions or automations.

Kajabi then gives you free reign to customize your message, subject line, and the day your email should be sent. Finally, you can view analytics for every email in your sequence. Kajabi reports to you the percentages of opens, sends, and clicks.

    One-Off and Recurring Events

Using Kajabi, you can set up Events to support your marketing initiatives. Use it for your course and product launches, additional webinars, and others.

To set up an event, go to your dashboard, click Marketing > Events > New event.

When you’ve initially created an event, Kajabi will lead you to a page that looks like this:

    Launching Online Course

In this page, you can further customize various aspects of your event.

Specify the title, date and time, and time zone. You can also opt to repeat your event from 15 minutes to a whole year.

If you want to send emails, you can write and format your message accordingly. You can also automate and define the conditions for sending emails to your target recipients. Clicking on Registrations shows you the users who have signed up for your event.

Forms for Capturing Leads and Gathering Information

The Forms feature of Kajabi allows you to produce, automate, and insert forms into your email sequences, offers, and events.Forms are essential when you want to segment your enrollees, gather emails for your pipelines and email campaigns, and more.

Let me show you how creating a form on Kajabi looks:

You can edit your form title and add more fields.

You can even decide which actions should happen after a subscriber submits his form, such as sending him to a thank-you page, and others.

You can also automate and define the conditions for sending out your forms.

Empowering Affiliates to Spread the Word

Through the platform, you can also onboard affiliate users to help market and sell your course.

Your affiliate marketer is assigned a unique link that points towards your web pages such as your landing page, checkout page, etc. Your affiliate then receives a commission for every person clicking on that share link and completing the purchase on your website.

An affiliate program is helpful to widen your market reach, boost your traffic, and produce sales fast.

    Kajabi Affiliate

Ideally, you should choose affiliate users with significant clout and large followings.

Affiliates can also bolster your reputation as a reliable instructor and convince their audience to enroll in your course. After all, consumers tend to believe a trusted third-party opinion when deciding to buy a product.

Kajabi lets you import your affiliates and manage different areas of your affiliate program. You can view and modify your affiliates’ profiles, transactions, percentage allocation for their commission, share links, and others.

Kajabi also presents figures on the clicks, form submissions or opt-ins, conversions or purchases, and conversion rates. Knowing these figures allows you to assess the effectiveness of your affiliate program.

    Recap

Kajabi has a compelling set of features that enable you to promote your online course effectively. We discussed these features and how you can use them for marketing your product:

    • Web Design attracts your prospects to explore your learning website and courses.
    • Pipelines let you visualize and automate your customer journey from marketing to purchase.
    • Email campaigns allow you to create and automate delivering your email sequences.
    • Events help you set up supplementary marketing activities like product launches.
    • Forms allow you to automate collecting your prospects’ email addresses.
    • Affiliates let you manage your affiliate program for a wider promotional and sales reach.
